 +==Air Element in Ayurvedic Medicine==
 +
 +[[air]] is the [[element]] of [[movement]]. All [[movement]]s involve [[air]] as an [[element]], be[[cause]] it alone [[wp>move]]s [[wp>everything]]. Any [[time]] there is [[wp>motion]], it means [[air]] is present. The [[wp>nature]] of the [[element]]s themselves determines the [[wp>nature]] of [[wp>physiology]]. Within the [[Human]] [[body]], [[air]] is present in the [[wp>pulsation]]s of the [[heart]] and the [[wp>expansion]] and [[wp>contraction]] of the [[lung]]s. Under a [[wp>microscope]], even a single [[cell]] can be seen to [[wp>move]]. [[wp>response]] to a [[wp>stimulus]] is the [[movement]] of [[wp>afferent]] and [[wp>efferent]] [[wp>nerve impulse]]s, which are [[wp>sensory]] and [[wp>motor movement]]s respectively. [[movement]]s of the [[nervous]] [[wp>system]] are also [[wp>govern]]ed by the [[air]] [[wp>principle]] present in the [[body]].
