Ama (Toxins) from Tongue Exam: Large tongue – Kapha. Tongue has white coating in a.m. Kapha. Lots of red in color mainly (Pitta). Each analysis daily shows current state of health. Pink, no coating, cracks; teeth marks - malabsorption, lines – all indicate disturbances. Subtle depression in heart area – recent breakup or relationship stress.
[[Pulse]]: Bone structure (Pitta Kapha) Strong, relaxed Pitta pulse. Liver, slightly weak– Kapha (avoid fried foods).Occasionally drinks alcohol.
Pain: more precise whenever experiencing ache (Pitta).
Headaches: Behind eyes, temples – (Pitta)
Onset of Menstruation: 11 (Pitta)
Menstrual Difficulties: heavy menstruation… (Pitta) used to be more painful… heavy cramps (Vata)
Discharges: white, leucorrhea (kapha)
Cool hands and cool feet – (Kapha) – don’t really notice
Custom Herbal Formula Prescribed:
All assist liver; soothe pitta and aid in skin
2 Vidanga – skin,
3 neem – disturbs Vata, best skin herb
4 Manjistha – blood purifier
3 punarnava – strengthen pancreas and spleen
5 Guduchi – bitter herb- skin and sweet tooth
3 Avipattikar – helps soothe gas
5 Shankhapushpi –
5 Brahmi – for the mind, anxiety, depression – mental emotional herb.
Directions: 1 teaspoon 3x times per day for 6-8 weeks taken with 1 tsp aloe vera gel
In 8oz of hot water- 40minutes mid meal
Other Recommendations: Daily morning routine-
1. Sandalwood and lavender – apply to crown and third eye, lip, throat, belly button, tail bone – aromatherapy after shower. 2. 5minutes of 3 of favorite poses. 3. Perform 5 minutes of alternate nostril breathing pranayama 4. Followed by 5 minutes of chanting – preferably one with little meaning (she dan doe dow dah lah) to allow the mind to focus on relaxing.
Wash face with dusting powder. Chickpea flour mixed with neem, manjistha, jasmine. Excellent for washing face. Use cool water.
Moisturize with aloe gel - on dry spot.
•Avoid sushi, shellfish, and crab
•If skin is red – eating too much red, orange and yellow foods – unless white on the inside. Carrot cooked
•ginger dry is not healing, no garlic or raw onion
•bitter is soothing and helps with skin conditions -lettuce
•no sour – avoid orange juice, oranges, kiwis, and grapefruit. Blueberry and pomegranate are good juice alternatives. Green grapes are alright.
•Avoid Indian, Korean, Mexican salsa, basically any spicy foods, anything that burns in the mouth – do not consume.
•vinegar is not good to consume. Use oil alone in cooking. Do not consume fried foods.
•Mung beans are cooling in nature – kitchari – made with basmati rice. Squash and yams are also great.
•Rice and breads are sweet - replace with spicy.
•astringent – cucumber skins are excellent.
•Cumin, coriander, fennel, cilantro, turmeric, cardamom
•eat one pomegranate a day, drink juice often – avoid skin eat seeds and white pulp.
•Liquorish sticks – soothe sweet tooth cravings
•Yogurt in moderations. Milk and add a small amount of store bought yogurt (incredibly sour)
•Drink aloe vera gel to dispel Pitta
•Fermented – Miso is salty and heating. Great for Vata, very rich.
•Cinnamon is very hot – avoid milk – use cardamom instead, and small amount of turmeric – it’s bitter. Rose or lavender essential oil add to milk
•exercise daily, must sweat to omit toxins – balance Kapha
•don’t hurry and don’t worry – implement meditation to assist
•Don’t take hot showers; avoid face from getting too much heat. Wash with cool water on the face alone.
•Any trauma always disturbs Vata. Loss, death, divorce, separation, void – empty space.
