__**Other Recommendations:**__

•Don’t scrape tongue at night because it will disturb digestion but do it in the morning

•Hydration is not a problem because she drinks 20 cups of water but oleation is important

•To soothe Vata and constipation, hydration, oleation and fiber is important

•Morning Routine: 1) drink warm water 2) use 1oz of warm oil and massage then take a bath or shower 3) apply essential oil to the chakras (lavender is good for both Pitta and Vata) 4) sweat everyday doing Yoga, Tai Chi, Aikido, ballet, swimming or walking 5) 5 minutes of Pranayama with Banyan’s Nasya 6) 5 minutes of sound therapy: Syi Dan Dwo Bwo Da La 7a) Shamatha Meditation: observe the nostril and sensation of the breath 7b) Vipashina Meditation: contemplation of Vata attributes 1 per day for 5 minutes then the next day contemplate its cure

•Follow Balancing Vata Handout

•In her case, if she soothes her dryness, then the other vata attributes that are imbalanced will also follow suit. If there is no dryness, then she won’t feel so cold.

•High Vata with Pitta mind (always asking question and wants to understand)

•Her weight is a big issue for her… gains and looses weight… recently lost 20lbs with the help of a personal trainer but her digestion and elimination got messed up due to the diet restrictions

•Hernia surgery did not help with her bloating

•She is a Vipashina meditator (has gone to Goenka’s retreat)
