Ama (Toxins) from Tongue Exam: Tongue tremors (Vata), tongue squared off (slow metabolism, indentation in the center (some depression), beginning of cracks in the tongue but does not look like dried up mud, no Ama

Pulse: Quite cold Vata pulse… drink caffeine? yes at 10:00am now 4:00pm… pulse is very high vata… history of diabetes in the family? yes… spleen pulse is alternating between Vata and Kapha which shows pre-diabetic or likely to get diabetic… Kidney pulse is great (rare to have kidney pulse strong for a vata)…

Eyes: dry eyes (Vata)… eyes twitch when stressed (Vata)… bit of lines under eye (weak kidneys)…red eyes (Pitta)

Pain: Lower back pain

Onset of Menstruation: 13 (Kapha)

Menstral Difficulties: regular menstration… not painful… does not have excessive or scanty flow

Discharges: History of yeast infections (Pitta, secondarily Kapha)…Discharge is white (kapha)

__**Custom Herbal Formula Prescribed:**__

5 Bala (for overall strength… soothes Vata and Pitta but doesn’t disturb Kapha),

4 Ashwagandha (for the muscle…soothes Vata and Kapha but doesn’t disturb Pitta)

3 Guduchi (helps liver, depression and lower back pain),

4 Avipattikar (for gas and constipation),

2 Dashamula (for lower back pain and constipation…soothes Vata, Pitta but doesn’t disturb Kapha),

3 Haritaki (for cleansing, constipation, dry throat from talking and gas) ,

1 Hawthorne Berry +1 Fennel+ 3 Ginger + Cardamom (for food stagnation),

1 Licorice (to harmonize formula and give sweetness),

3 Brahmi (for depression and anxiety)

3 Chitrak ( for malabsorption seen from nails lacking moons and striation in the moons… soothes Vata and Kapha but increases Pitta), 3 Vidanga (more cleansing-…kills worms, sperms, and germs…helps digestion and kills parasites)

Directions: 1 teaspoon 3x times per day for 6-8 weeks taken with 8oz of hot water (with raw honey for taste if needed) 40minutes before meals to help with colon

__**Triphala**__

Standard Triphala: 2 Parts of Haritaki, 5 Parts of Amalaki, 3 Parts of Bibhitaki

1 teaspoon ~1 hour before bed (empty stomach)and / or 1 teaspoon upon awakening to make it more laxative (drink hot water first then drink triphala 30 minutes after)

__**Herbal Tablets/ Herbal Wines/ Herbal Jams Prescribed: **__

Para Cleanse Tablets – for abdominal distention, gas, etc.= take on weekends with Triphala tablets Triphala Tablets – for further cleansing to be used with Para Cleanse on the weekend

Hingvastak powder –for gas and for cleanse = carry around and sprinkle on food or use it to cook with (especially gassy vegetable)

Rose water Eyedrops (Ayurveda-world.com) for red dry eyes

Banyan Botanical’s Nasya-for daily routine prior to alternate nostril breathing

Hexane free Castor oil – 1 drop at night in the eyes for tired dry eyes

•Follow Vata soothing diet

•For Vata-types, it is important to eat at regular hours

•5 pillars of good health are sleep, food, exercise, meditation and sex. They should not be under or over expressed

•Don’t multi-task because it disturbs digestion especially for Vata types

•1 reason for constipation is dryness so need to hydrate and oleate

•Scrape tongue 14 times with a tongue scraper in the morning to help digestion

•Need to solve the issue of constipation because in the long term need it will increase Ama then it could lead for arthritis

•Do Vata soothing yoga poses

•Main thing for vata is regularity

•Do Nasya at night with 3-5 drops in the nostril while laying on bed with head dangling upside down by the edge then remain inverted for 5 minutes while doing pranayama)

•Morning routine: Apply warm oil to the body then shower, then apply essential oil (crown, third eye, fold of lip, throat, sternum, belly button, coccyx) then do 5 minutes of yoga (use Japanese style incense as a timekeeper for the rest of the routine which will take 25 minutes), then 5 minutes of alternate nostril breathing with 1 drop of Nasya, then 5 minutes of sound therapy “Syi Dan Dwo Bwo Da La” to ground Vata mind, then 5 minutes of observation of the nostrils whether what is open and what’s closed sitting in a full lotus position, and lastly, spend 5 minutes looking at the 1 attribute of Vata (ie. dry skin, hair, sense of humor, eyes, etc) followed next day by the contemplation of its cure. Do it for 3 cycles (6 attributes+6cures 3X)
