Zopa is the Americanized spelling of the Tibetan word བཟོད་པ་, zöpa; wyl. bzod pa, or in Buddhist Sanskrit kṣānti or kshanti meaning patience. Patience is the third of the six paramitas, is defined as the ability not to be perturbed by anything. It is the subject of the sixth chapter of the Bodhicharyavatara.
